NOTICE OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITY/NON-DISCRIMINATION
 
Every student of the Coahoma County School District will have equal educations opportunities regardless of race, color creed, sex, handicapping condition, religion or marital status.  Not student shall have excluded on such basis form participating in or having access to any course offering, athletics, counseling employment assistance, and extra-curricular activities.
 
All school board polices follow federal and state laws related to nondiscriminatory practices in the operation of the school district, including but not limited to the following:
             MS code 37-25-35
             1972 Educational Amendment
             Title IX: 45 CFR Part 86; 1964 /Civil Rights Act
             Title IV: 1973 Rehabilitation Act, Sections 503 and 504; 45 CFR Part
             Brown v. Board of Education, 347 U.S. 483 (1954)
 
Coahoma County Jr/Sr High School Technical Education (CTE) does not discriminate in enrollment or access to any of the programs available:  Law and Public Safety, Cyber Foundations, Computer Explorations and Simulation and Animation Design, and Teacher Academy. 
 
This notice is provided as required by Title VI of the Civil Acts Right of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
