Former WBL student, Jamil Griffin started out as a sales associate and has now landed a management position. Griffin began working at Snipes his senior year, 2021-2022 and has been moving up ever since. Store manager Mr. Brian Ratliff says Jamil has been an ideal employee. “I’m proud to have been in a position to help Jamil land his job with Snipes. He was a great student in the classroom by keeping up his class work and reporting to work. That’s a great example of how this program works. Again, I’m just glad to be a part of student success!”
The CCJSHS Work-Based Learning students visited the WIN Job Center and learned how to register for the Mississippi Department of Employment Security system. Students searched jobs of interest and submitted some applications. Ms. Pitts and staff assisted students and provided them with valuable information on how the center can help them after graduation.
CCJSHS Educator Prep student, Jazmine Ivy, assists students in reading class during clinical at Lyon Elementary. Jazmine has been very energetic and extremely helpful to the students as she works with them one on one.
Thanks Jazmine for working with our students and preparing to be an awesome future educator!!
